Windows System Engineer
for our international team.

GOSP - Generali Operations Service Platform is a joint-venture between Generali and Accenture and provides IT and Procurement services to Generali Group companies. Our purpose is to accelerate the Group's innovation and digitization strategy through the Cloud and shared platforms. Based in Italy it has 6 branches across Europe and employs about 1.200 people.
We provide innovative IT infrastructure services for companies in the international Generali Group. Our core competencies are the development of customer-oriented solutions as well as the stable and efficient operation of IT infrastructure services, i.e. servers, networks, telephony/call centers, workplace environments and mobile solutions. We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our service rapidly expanding infrastructure.
You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
Their main job profile involves designing and implementing computer systems, both software and network. Server professional ensures that the computer system responds efficiently to support the requirements of an organization.
Your responsibilities will be the following:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure that serve core services,
- Install, configure, test and maintain core services systems,
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of services, systems and infrastructure availability,
- Monitor and test core services performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes,
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies,
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks,
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems,
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support, sometimes in stressful situation,
- Respond to critical off-hours requests in an On-Call rotation
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution,
- Provide timely and creative solutions to difficult problems.
The ideal candidate has
- University degree in IT or equivalent professional experience,
- At least 7 years of work experience in similar roles,
- Proven expertise in Microsoft 365 and Exchange administration (on-premise and cloud),
- Knowledge of Lotus Notes/Domino environments is a strong advantage,
- Solid experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell mandatory; NodeJS/C# a plus),
- Familiar with Active Directory, Azure AD, and M365 security & compliance frameworks,
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mindset,
- Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional international teams,
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (both required).
