Fixed Income Portfolio Manager

 

 

Who we are?

An investment company based in the Czech Republic with foreign branch in Budapest, Hungary with approximately 140 people in total. A member of the Generali global financial group, managing assets of approximately EUR 19 billion. 

 

We are now looking for a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, covering both government bonds with an emphasis on the Central and Eastern European region, as well as IG/nonIG credit. This position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled investment professional ready to take responsibility for managing assigned portfolios (funds and discretionary asset management mandates), analysing investment opportunities and contributing to the strategic development of bond/equity investment solutions. 

 

 

What will be your main responsibilities? 

  • Manage assigned investment portfolios in line with internal policies, investment strategies and regulatory requirements with a focus on fixed income.
  • Conduct and/or supervise analysis of investment opportunities and market developments. 
  • Develop, propose and maintain investment plans and strategic approaches for the portfolio. 
  • Execute or oversee the execution of portfolio actions, monitor results and adjust investment approach when needed. 
  • Maintain effective collaboration with clients and internal partners, supporting communication and business development. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of investment processes and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. 

 

What should the perfect candidate have? 

  • University degree (Finance, Economics, Investment or related field). 
  • Previous multi‑year experience with fixed income, including cash and FX- exposure management.
  • At least a basic knowledge of investment fund regulation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of capital markets. 
  • Strong communication skills and professional English. 
  • Responsible, structured and proactive working style. 
  • MS Office proficiency; analytical tools knowledge is a plus. 
  • Previous multi‑year experience with fixed income solutions management
