Microsoft 365 Service Engineer

for our international team.

GOSP - Generali Operations Service Platform is a joint-venture between Generali and Accenture and provides IT and Procurement services to Generali Group companies. Based in Italy it has 6 branches across Europe and employs about 1.200 people.

 

We provide innovative IT infrastructure services for companies in the international Generali Group. Our core competencies are the development of customer-oriented solutions as well as the stable and efficient operation of IT infrastructure services, i.e. servers, networks, telephony/call centers, workplace environments and mobile solutions. Your responsibilities will be the following:

  • Serve as the primary contact for mail and collaboration services for Generali Germany and Austria,
  • Manage, configure, and optimize Microsoft 365 services with a focus on Exchange Online and hybrid environments,
  • Support and lead transformation projects from Lotus Notes/Domino to Microsoft 365,
  • Ensure compliance and security standards are consistently applied across all platforms (desktop, mobile, virtual),
  • Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts (primarily in PowerShell, also NodeJS/C# when required),
  • Create add-ins, GUIs, and workflows to improve efficiency and user experience in Outlook/Exchange,
  • Administer and synchronize Active Directory / Azure AD objects and attributes relevant to mail services,
  • Maintain and improve interfaces between Exchange-based mail environments and existing Domino domains,
  • Analyze, monitor, and optimize mail routing in collaboration with security service teams,
  • Provide 2nd-level support for mail services and define tasks for 1st-level support teams,
  • Apply GOSP standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of collaboration services in Germany and Austria.

 

The ideal candidate has:

  • University degree in IT or equivalent professional experience,
  • At least 7 years of work experience in similar roles,
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft 365 and Exchange administration (on-premise and cloud),
  • Knowledge of Lotus Notes/Domino environments is a strong advantage,
  • Solid experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell mandatory; NodeJS/C# a plus),
  • Familiar with Active Directory, Azure AD, and M365 security & compliance frameworks,
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mindset,
  • Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional international teams,
  • Excellent communication skill in English,
  • German knowledge is advantegous.
